Coin Rush is a fast-paced, adventure-type board game that brings players on a thrilling journey of treasure hunting. Perfect for 2 to 4 players, Coin Rush is designed for ages 7 to 90, making it an exciting game for families, friends, and anyone who loves a good challenge. Each character in the game has its own unique abilities, creating a dynamic and engaging experience. Here's everything you need to know about the game, from the objective to the characters and game modes!

Game Objective

The objective of Coin Rush is simple: each player aims to collect and return 10 gold coins to their home area. To collect coins, players must roll the dice and land on the GOLD HAUL action point, where they will receive a set number of gold coins. The game ends when a player successfully returns to their home area with 10 gold coins.

Characters and Their Unique Abilities

There are four unique characters in the game, each with its own special ability that gives players a competitive edge:

  • Yellow: Archeologist (Book) – The Archeologist has a 2x treasure chest booster, allowing them to collect double the number of coins on the GOLD HAUL action point.
  • Black: Miner (Pickaxe) – The Miner excels in navigating the dangerous cave system. They can choose to move to a different exit if they are stuck, ensuring they always find a way out.
  • Red: Adventurer (Gun) – The Adventurer is impervious to traps and obstacles, particularly on red action points, allowing them to move freely through the most dangerous parts of the board.
  • Green: Native (Bow) – The Native has a speed advantage. They gain extra dice roll values, allowing them to move faster and collect coins quicker.

How to Play Coin Rush

Coin Rush is played in rounds where each player takes turns rolling the dice. The goal is to land on the GOLD HAUL action point by rolling the dice, collecting gold coins, and depositing them at your home area. Here are the key rules:

1. Action Points

Action points are fully colored fields where players must stop. These points include:

  • START - The entry point into the game.
  • GOLD HAUL - The field where players collect gold coins.
  • RED Action Points - Trap fields that may hinder progress.
  • BLACK Cave System - The dangerous cave system where the Miner has a competitive advantage.

Players stop on action points and take the necessary actions. For example, they may need to overcome a trap, escape the cave system, or collect gold coins.

2. Dice Rolls

Players must roll a dice to move forward. The dice roll determines how many spaces the player moves. However, if a player rolls a number greater than the distance to an action point, they will still stop at that action point and continue on their next turn.

3. Special Abilities of Characters

Each character has a unique ability that gives them an advantage in specific game segments:

  • Native: The Native gets a bonus on their dice rolls:
    • 1 or 2 = +1
    • 3 or 4 = +2
    • 5 or 6 = +3
  • Miner: The Miner can choose to move to a different black action point (up or down) when exiting the cave system.
  • Archeologist: The Archeologist receives double the coins on the GOLD HAUL action point.
  • Adventurer: The Adventurer can pass through red action points and trap fields without being affected.

Game Modes

Coin Rush offers two modes of play, each with its own level of competition:

  • Friendly Mode: Players can share spaces and action points without any consequences.
  • Rivalry Mode: Players can eliminate each other by landing on the same field. Eliminated players must restart the game and lose the gold they were carrying.

Winning the Game

The game ends when a player successfully returns to their home area with 10 gold coins. Players can keep track of their coins using small markers or by writing down the amount of coins they've collected. When a player’s total coins reach 10 or more, they win the game!

Tips for Success

Remember to use your character's unique ability to your advantage. The key to winning is collecting gold coins quickly and safely while navigating the action points. Keep an eye on your op
